Japan Inflation Rate Dropped to 2.5% in September

In September 2024, Japan's annual inflation rate dropped to 2.5%, the lowest level since April, from 3.0% for the previous three months.
In the meantime, the core inflation rate fell from 2.8% in August to 2.4% in September, a five-month low, while the consensus was 2.3%. For the first time since February 2023, the CPI fell by 0.3% on a monthly basis in September.
