Just after 12:30 this afternoon, Buckingham Palace released a statement informing the public that the Queen's physicians were worried about her health and advised that she continue to be under observation.
A short while later, we learned that all of the Queen's children were either already in Balmoral Castle in Scotland with her or were on their way there. At Balmoral are Prince Charles, Camilla, and Princess Anne.
The second in line to the throne and grandson of the Queen, Prince William, is en route while his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, has stayed in Windsor while her children are attending their first day of school.
Prince Harry, the brother of Prince William, and his wife Meghan have just visited the UK for engagements and are reportedly making a trip to Scotland as well.
In a break with custom since the Queen would ordinarily visit her in London, the newly minted UK PM Liz Truss had herself travelled to Balmoral on Tuesday to be installed by the monarch. However, the gathering was shifted to Balmoral since the Queen had recently experienced mobility problems.
