In April 2022, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in South Korea was 2.7 percent, continuing at a three-month low, while the number of people employed climbed for the 14th month in a row.
In April, the number of individuals employed reached 28.078 million, gaining 865,000 or 3.2 percent from the previous month.
The South Korean economy has been recovering thanks to strong exports, but it has faced increased economic uncertainty as a result of the US Federal Reserve's vigorous monetary tightening and increasing oil costs resulting from Russia's war in Ukraine.
